LG Prada Link Bluetooth Watch Review

Friday 5 December 2008 @ 5:54 pm

The new phone launched by LG is not only a phone but the great thing is the LG Prada II is a watch that’s included with it known as the LG Prada Link. This Bluetooth watch has a lot of new features and its totally on a watch. The Prada Link can show caller ID, Preview text messages and you no longer have to take your phone out of your pocket every time you get a call or text message.
The watch has a tiny OLED screen that will not only show you all the options previously mentioned but also give you a call rejection option. The watch will also, of course, display the time. There is only one downside to this wonderful new invention. The battery for the Prada Link only has a 48-hour battery life.
There is no details on whether the watch will be included with the phone for free. Considering there have been similar watches on the market retailing for sometimes over $400, this is a deal because it is included with the LG Prada II.

Amazon Kindle Review – Best Ebook Reader in the Market

Monday 17 November 2008 @ 5:15 am

Amazon Kindle is the first electronic gadget for reading an electronic book or eBook or any other kind of electronic version of printed materials. Amazon.com started as an online book seller in 1995 and later they become one of the biggest online retailer for musci, electronics, video games and many other gadgets.

Kindle is a completely wireless device that needs no cables to PC access or synchronization. It uses the EVDO technology similar to cell phones, so that you never need to access a hotspot for getting online. This enables you to shop online at the Amazon store for any books or magazines you wish to read with this device. The material you purchase is directly delivered to your Kindle within a minute. More than 200,000 books, including current best sellers are available for purchase through Kindle.

The best feature is that you can actually download a sample of the book with the first chapter before actually purchasing it. There are more than 800 of top blogs on business, technology, entertainment, sports, politics, etc. available for subscription on Kindle.

The power saving of Kindle is remarkable. Without wireless, it can last for a week or more with one time charging of about 2 hours. You can read any other document through Kindle by just emailing the document to Kindle so that you can view it. Kindle is the best friend for you while traveling.

Plantronics Voyager 510 – The Best Bluetooth Headsets

Sunday 16 November 2008 @ 5:35 am

The Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset is one of the best addon for Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones. It’s extremely comfortable, widely compatible, and works well in almost any environment. The Plantronics Voyager’s flexible clip is really easy to use that goes over your ear snugly, and the padded earbud tucks securely into your ear canal. The Voyager’s design spreads its 0.7-ounce weight over your whole ear, so it doesn’t feel like the top of your ear is about to peel down. The microphone boom is adjustable, so you can wear the Voyager on your left or right ear.

The small power and volume buttons are above the top of the headset and a single call-control button fits on the boom’s hinge. The call-control button is easy to find, press, and use—one short tap to hang up, a long press to voice dial, and two taps to redial the last-called number. The volume/mute buttons are harder to recognize with your fingers, but it’s not impossible to do so.

Sound quality and range indoors are both excellent, even in PC Magazine Labs, where several Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices compete for the 2.4-GHz radio band. Voice quality is loud and clear on both ends of a conversation. Conversations are smooth and clear for up to about 40 feet and the headset held its connection for up to 65 feet. The headset’s range became even longer in an outdoor area with no interference.

The Voyager is works really great at blocking background noise such as passing trucks or overhead trains. It’s not as good with wind noise. Air-conditioning, on the other hand, is not a problem. The worst interference is wind blowing directly into the microphone.

The Plantronics Voyager 510 comes in three varieties. The reasonably priced $99 standalone version that works good with Bluetooth mobile phones. The 510S system is $299.95 and it includes a base so the headset can pair with both your corded office phone and your mobile phone. The 510SL version is $379.95 and adds a robotic handset lifter for your office phone. The Plantronics Voyager is really a great gadget during travel and very comfortable.
